About GEAR UP
GEAR UP is a federally funded program that works in partnership with Chicago Public Schools to prepare Chicago students for success in post-secondary education. The Chicago GEAR UP grant is administered through the Center for College Access and Success (CCAS), Northeastern Illinois University.

- Increase the academic performance and preparation for post-secondary education.
- Increase the rate of high school graduation and participation in post-secondary education.
- Increase GEAR UP students and their families’ knowledge of post-secondary education options, preparation, and financing.
